Making it happen- your Role
We have an opportunity for a Service Manager to join us on a 30 hours per week basis, at a day service that provides day time support to adults with a learning disability. In our service we offer opportunities to try new activities and allow our people to develop their skills, in a variety of ways.
This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop United Response’s reputation as an outstanding provider in the area. This role is a slight departure from a traditional Service Manager role, as we are looking for someone who can lead - strategically, on the complete redevelopment of the service as well as providing strong leadership during an exciting period of transformation at one of our services in Liverpool.
As we are looking to extensively transform the service we offer in this location - the successful candidate would undertake, with support, a structured redesign and development programme to be implemented in order to achieve the diversification of our offer in the City. Co-ordinating referrals, increasing presence and marketing of the service and networking with the local community to promote the fantastic service we offer. This would include sourcing opportunities to engage in training and work based prospects for the people we support.
Our current service is located in premises that have outgrown our needs. As a result, we are looking to relocate to new premises, and develop the service we offer and the successful applicant would play a key part in this.

- In depth knowledge of the local area.
- You must have a positive attitude towards issues of learning disability and mental health and a comprehensive understanding of these issues in practice.
